FAQs: The Roam Hat
Does the neck cover come off?
Yes. It attaches and detaches easily so you can wear it as a standard 5-panel or full sun coverage depending on the day.
Does it fit kids and adults?
Both. The bungee closure adjusts quickly so one size works across a wide range of head sizes.
Will it lose its shape in my bag?
No. It's designed to pack completely flat , throw it in a beach bag, backpack, or carry-on without worrying about it deforming.
Is it good for water?
Yes. Built for it. The kids' version includes a chin strap with a safety breakaway clip so it stays on in the water but releases if it catches on anything.
Does it have UPF protection?
Yes. UPF 50.
What's the chin strap breakaway clip?
A safety feature on the kids' version. The strap keeps the hat secure during water activities but is designed to release under pressure — so if it catches on something, it won't pull or trap.
How do I adjust the fit?
Bungee closure at the back — one pull, instant fit. No fussing.
