It seems that to adventure you need so much stuff! Add on kids and that is A LOT of expensive gear to haul. We want to reduce the amount of money you spend on gear, and instead get a few items that work for you, while reducing the amount of stuff you have to carry. Here out approach on how we do it.

How to wear the 4 layers in

When it's Hot and Sunny

Top: A lightweight, breathable kids' sun shirt with UPF protection to block harmful rays. Bamboo sun shirts are ideal—they’re soft, moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating.

Bottom: Quick-dry shorts or lightweight, breathable pants for extra sun protection. Look for loose-fitting styles to allow airflow.

Shoes: Closed-toe sandals or breathable hiking shoes with grippy soles to prevent slips and protect feet on rough terrain.

Accessories: A wide-brim sun hat, UV-blocking sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen to keep kids protected.

When it's Hot and Wet

Top: A base layer shirt that dries quickly and keeps kids cool + a waterproof shell jacket.

Bottom: Quick-dry shorts or lightweight rain pants to stay comfortable in wet conditions.

When it's Spring or Fall
